The Kingston-based law firm Wilson Franklyn Barnes has announced that it has chosen the Texas-based aviation law firm Slack & Davis as its partner to represent passengers involved in the crash of American Airlines Flight 331.
The plane crashed after it overshot the runway at the Norman Manley International Airport on December 22 last year.
Slack & Davis is led by Michael L. Slack, a former National Aeronautics and Space Administration Senior Aerospace Engineer.
The firm’s legal team also includes licensed airplane pilots.
Wilson Franklyn Barnes said the experience of the members of the legal team gives them keen insight into what goes on in the cockpit of an aircraft.
According to Delano Franklyn, a partner at Wilson Franklyn Barnes, Slack & Davis has litigated claims against major airlines, aircraft manufacturers and other aviation-related corporations.
Mr. Franklyn said the firm is highly prepared to match the well-funded legal teams of multimillion dollar corporations.
